In 2013 schools in and around the entrance to the Quantock Hills came together to formalise a collaborative partnership in order to improve outcomes, share good practice and combine our knowledge, skills, and resources for the benefit of our pupils, thus The Quantock Group was formed.
We work closely in partnership, focusing on curriculum, leadership and progression through transition. Teaching staff belong to phase groups, according to the key stage in which they teach, meeting each term to moderate work, share ideas and develop their own skills.
Headteachers met on Monday 3rd October 2022 to plan a series of opportunities for staff to work together, sharing children's learning and our assessment processes. In particular, our schools will focus on moderating writing and EYFS outcomes together this year.
